Press conference with Wigan manager GS ahead of their FA Cup Fifth Round tie with Leicester tomorrow evening.
There has been a lot of speculation this week surrounding the future of Arsene Wenger, with pundits critical and some fans apparently losing patience with the Arsenal (8th, 4 points off 4rd place) manager. What are your thoughts on the matter?
I feel sorry for Arsene, but that seems to be the way football is these days – a couple of bad results and questions are asked.
Wigan beat West Ham and Arsenal whilst Leicester (18th, Championship) beat Birmingham and Middlesbrough to get this far. Are you confident ahead of the upcoming tie?
I would say that we have an excellent chance.
That certainly suggests you have confidence in your players. What do you consider to be your strongest area of the team?
Is there one player in your midfield you consider to be the star individual?
You could make a real statement about your intentions in this match and go on the attack from the first whistle. How will you approach this game?
We will go out and attack from the kick-off.
Hannover’s Lubos Hanzel has issued a profound ‘come and get me’ plea to Wigan boss GS. The left-back revealed that his current predicament has left him feeling out in the cold of late and all he wants to do is get back to playing football in a new environment.
Hanzel is unlikely to be a Hannover player much longer with some reports linking the move to high-flying Wigan Athletic.
