KiCK: You have had a bit of a break recently and it is now ten days since your last fixture. How do you see that affecting the players?
(Calm) I don’t see it being an issue, in fact, it has allowed us to be extra-prepared for this fixture.
OBSERVER: It’s fair to say Wigan didn’t have the best of times against Leicester, so are you looking for a reaction from your players in this game?
(Assertive) The whole team wants to bounce back with a win.
BBC MANCHESTER: You suffered defeat the last time you met Sunderland (1-3 away, 03.11.12). How will that affect the team mentally ahead of this game?
(Calm) I feel it is an unnecessary distraction.
SKY SPORTS: Following Sunderland’s 2-1 Premier League victory over Norwich last Saturday, Martin Jol’s side are currently 16th with 28 points from 27 matches. Do you think there is a chance they could take all the points at the DW Stadium tomorrow?
(Assertive) I would rather focus on the game than needlessly discuss it.
BBC MANCHESTER: Shaun Maloney is a real crowd favourite and has delighted fans with his recent performances. Do you think the supports’ backing will help him maintain his form?
(Assertive) The fans have been brilliant and I know Shaun wants to thank them for all their support.
BBC MANCHESTER: Would you agree that Maloney is playing at the top of his game right now?
(Calm) I think Shaun can play even better.
TEAMTALK: Looking at the table and the form of the various contenders, have you changed your thoughts on the eventual Premier League winners? Who do you tip for the title? On 23.11.12 you responded by saying ‘Manchester City’.
(Calm) Manchester United.
