Andreas Beck has signed a four-year deal with Borussia Dortmund after the club matched Hoffenheim’s £6.25m valuation of the player earlier in the week. The 26 year-old full back is set to pick up £49,000 per week at his new club, with a double-figure appearance fee set to see his weekly take-home rival all but the top-earners in the squad.
Russian-born Beck, capped nine times by Germany, made 30 appearances for Hoffenheim last season, and will officially become a Borussia Dortmund player when the transfer window opens on 01 July.
Beck joins 19 year-old Danish forward Viktor Fischer who signed last week in a £7.5m move from Ajax. BVB manager GS has indicated that he doesn’t expect any further signings ahead of the new Bundesliga season.
Beck will wear squad number 2.
