Oliver Kirch looks likely to leave Dortmund when the transfer window opens next month after the club revealed that they had accepted offers from three fellow Bundesliga clubs. The want-away right-back has been transfer listed at his own request since before manager GS began his tenure at the club, and will surely begin the season elsewhere.
30 year-old Kirch has attracted bids thought to be in the £500k area from Eintracht Frankfurt, Fortuna Düsseldorf, and Greuther Fürth. It was expected that Kirch would stay to perform under the new management at Dortmund, but today’s capture of right-back Andreas Beck has sped up his potential departure.
Kirch has a year left of his BVB deal, earning £13k p/w.
With the Under-23 squad not competing in 3.Fußball-Liga in the new season after winning the division last season, the club has confirmed that, where possible, the club will play corresponding fixtures on Sundays following the senior squad’s Bundesliga match the previous day throughout the season.
