[DD] Weekly BVB Squad Update

  • Kickers Offenbach have made an approach to take Florian Hübner on loan for the rest of the season, following yesterday’s news that fellow 3-Liga side Rot-Weiß Erfurt had made the same proposal. Offenbach, unlike Erfurt, are offering to pay a twenty percent contribution towards Hübner’s £2.7k p/w wage. The offer has been accepted, and the player free to choose at will.
  • Goalkeeper Mitchell Langerak has reported back fit from the recent EAFF East Asian Cup, which saw his Australian team clinch the title with an 88th minute winner from Rhys Williams in the deciding tie against Japan. Langerak was an unused substitute for all thee matches. He’ll be on the bench for tonight’s friendly against Rangers.
  • As part of the new partnership scheme with SV Sandhausen, the BVB staff have proposed that left midfielder Chris Löwe move to the 3-Liga side on loan for the duration of the season. While Sandhausen are keen to have the player join them, the decision ultimately lies with Löwe, whose first-team opportunities may be limited this season.
  • Leonardo Bittencourt, Marc Hornschuh and Julian Koch have been moved from the senior squad to Dortmund II ahead of their friendlies against AS Monaco and Olympique Lyonnais.

Monday Friendlies (selected)
Dalian (China) 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur
 Stade Rennais 1-3 AS Roma
       Rangers 1-2 Borussia Dortmund
