All eighteen clubs played a midweek Bundesliga fixture in the past two days, with Dortmund putting five past Düsseldorf on Wednesday night to continue their 100% home record, while Leverkusen remain unbeaten despite letting a two-goal lead slip in their eventual 2-2 draw at home to Stuttgart.

Köln played 85 minutes with 10 men after Sebastian Kehl’s dismissal for a two-footed lunge, but came away with all three points at Münchengladbach when Jong Tae-Se headed home a corner in the third minute of stoppage time. Two goals for Freiburg’s Jan Rosenthal in a 2-2 draw at Werder Bremen ensured both sides keep their unbeaten starts to the season.
