Werder Bremen remain the only unbeaten side in Bundesliga this season after Freiburg lost at Wolfsburg this weekend, Sebastian Polter scoring the only goal of the game five minutes before half-time to lift Wolfsburg to 8th.

With Leverkusen suffering a shock 1-0 home defeat by Mainz, it’s Düsseldorf who go top after beating Stuttgart. Dortmund, top on Saturday night following their 5-1 win over Hannover, leap from 7th to 2nd, with a game in hand over Düsseldorf who they beat 5-0 a fortnight or so ago.

Four matches take place on Tuesday night before the international break: BMG-Munich, Koln-Bremen, Nürnberg-Wolfsburg, and Schalke-Frankfurt.
