Assistant Manager Edin Terzic was at Stadion Rote Erde this afternoon as Dortmund’s Under-19 side emerged victorious against DSC Arminia Bielefeld, for their first U19 Bundesliga win at the seventh attempt this season. Terzic picked out the performance of Osman Varol to comment on. The right-back enjoyed a good game, and opened the scoring with a superb lob shortly before half-time.
He then provided the cross for Josef Bungert to volley home a second on 55 minutes as BVB ran out 2-0 winners to keep pace with mid-table in Group 3.
After a terrible start, the win means BVB’s U19s are only 3 points off 5th place.
Their next match is at Wolfsburg in the U19 Cup on Sunday.
The first team play at Hamburg tonight.
