kleinheiderHappy 24th birthday to goalkeeper Pierre Kleinheider who is on loan with us from FSV Frankfurt this season to act as cover for Mitchell Langerak. Pierre hasn’t made a first-team appearance for us yet, but has played a crucial role in the U23s’ ten-nmatch winning streak.

As rumoured over the weekend, Thomas Tuchel has been announced as the new manager at VfB Stuttgart, leaving FSV Mainz. Tuchel was the coach of Stuttgart’s U19s from 2000-2005 and is quoted as saying he jumped at the opportunity to rejoin his former club. His first match in charge will be tonight’s Europa League tie at Lokomotiv Moscow.

Claude Puel has been sacked by Nice after they lost 1-3 at Auxerre, leaving them inside the bottom three of Ligue Un with just one win from their thirteen league games this season.

FC Utrecht have announced that Robert Maaskant is their new manager after they parted company with Marco van Basten at the weekend. Maaskant was fired by Groningen in February after a run of 8 defeats in 12 games.

Kuban Krasnodar manager Yury Krasnozhan has rocked the club by being hired as the new manager at Dinamo Moscow. The two clubs are separated by a single point in the Russian Prem’er Liga, and play each other this weekend in Moscow.

Pasquale Marino has been hired as the new manager at Bologna, for his first coaching role. Marino is currently studying for his Continental ‘A’ license. Bologna are 15th in Serie A, but can pull away from the bottom three this weekend with a home win over struggling Reggina.

Sønderjysk Elitesport have appointed former-Arhaas and Midtjylland boss Erik Rasmussen as their new manager. His first game will be against Esbjerg on Saturday, with the opportunity for both sides to escape the bottom two.
