Bundesliga Weekend: 22-24 November 2013

Dortmund extended their lead at the top to seven points after both Schalke and Bayern Munich were held to 1-1 draws at Düsseldorf and Wolfsburg respectively. BVB were made to sweat a little having been pegged back to 3-2 with two goals from Igor de Camargo in the final six minutes, but held on for their tenth win of the campaign.

Game of the weekend came on Sunday at Eintracht Frankfurt who turned round a 0-3 scoreline against Werder Bremen to take a 5-3 lead before Clemens Fritz made it 5-4 for the league’s first nine-goal match this season.

Alban Meja hit a 14-minute hat-trick for the hosts, only the third hat-trick in the league this season – the previous two both coming against Frankfurt (Stefan Kießling for Leverkusen, and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar who scored four for Schalke).
