Hornschuh Captains BVB II to Birthday Win


hornschuhBirthday boy Marc Hornschuh (23, left) captained Dortmund II this morning for a 4-2 win away at CFR Pforzheim’s first team. Marvin Ducksch put BVB ahead inside ten minutes from close range before the hosts equalised through Jannick Judt.

Daniel Ginczek restored the BVB lead on the half-hour mark before Lasse Sobiech headed home from a corner shortly before the break. When Pforzheim gifted the ball to the Dortmund attack in first-half stoppage time, it was played through for Ducksch to score his second and Dortmund’s fourth.

Stefan Kirschner pulled a late goal back for Pforzheim, but Dortmund were comfortable throughout. BVB played a strong side despite having players travelling for international duty. Full BVB stats:
