Reserves Sneak Narrow Win over Nürnberg

Marc Hornschuh’s header after 25 minutes was enough for Dortmund II to pick-up a 1-0 win over Nürnberg II at Stadion Rote Erde this morning. Hornschuh, who has made eight starts for the first team this season, met Dennis Praet’s corner to put BVB in front, and earned a man-of-the-match performance for his defending at the other end to keep a clean sheet.

Reserves Manager David Wagner was once-again given a strong side to select from, including substitutes from yesterday’s first team win, though Felipe Santana sat-out the game despite recently returning to full training following his virus.

Dortmund II only have one remaining fixture confirmed, Sunday’s trip to Berliner FC Dynamo, though the senior BVB management have indicated that they are waiting for the UEFA Champions League QF draw and schedule before announcing additions to the calendar.
