Bayern Munich are unbeaten in twelve after their 3-0 win in the Nord-Süd-Gipfel Derby over Werder Bremen, and with the game in hand over Schalke, gives them the advantage in the race to catch Dortmund. Mainz keep up their impressive run with a 1-0 win at Hamburg that lifts them to fourth.

Bayer Leverkusen have relinquished that position after two defeats  in four days. Goalkeeper Brand Leno spilled a cross into his own net inside the final five minutes to lose 1-2 at Nürnberg on Saturday. Tomoaki Makino banged in a hat-trick that lifted Köln above Fürth in the bottom three. Elsewhere, Bochum are surely staring at relegation after another defeat, their fifth in a row.
