A dramatic night at Signal Iduna Park was won from twelve yards out by Ivan Perisic with almost the last kick of the game. Level at one-all from last week’s First Leg in Turin, it was vital that Dortmund kept a clean-sheet, and to that end, they made two changes: Roman Weidenfeller back in goal, and Kevin Großkreutz providing some stability on the left.
All the best-laid plans went to pot when Claudio Marchisio converted at the near post following good work by Vucinic to get the cross in. The goal cancelled out Dortmund’s fortunate away goal at the Juventus Stadium, and meant that they’d need to score twice after the break in order to avoid extra-time.
Julian Schieber turned the game round with a pair of poacher’s finishes, both from Mario Götze deliveries. The first came when Götze picked-up a long ball from Buffon, lobbing the ball back into the box for Schieber to half-volley past the stranded ‘keeper. he then poked Dortmund in front when Götze’s free-kick went all the way through towards Buffon, but Schieber’s outstretched boot toe’d the ball home in the 78th minute.
All Dortmund’s hard work looked like it was for nought five minutes later when Sebastian Giovinco seemingly miss-hit a volley from a Pepe cross that wrong-footed Weidenfeller to level the tie at 3-3 on aggregate, but put Juventus ahead on away goals.
Two and a half minutes into the indicated three of stoppage time, and Andreas Beck lobbed a deep cross towards Ivan Perisic at the far post who was bundled over by Mauricio Isla. Penalty and a yellow card. Up stepped Perisic to smash the penalty past Buffon and send Dortmund into the final four.
BVB have been awarded £4m in prize money, and will play AC Milan on 23rd (home) and 29th (away) in the Semi-Finals. The other tie is between Barcelona and Manchester United who met in the 2011 final.

Juventus lead 2-1 on aggregate, and have matched Dortmund’s away goal from last week.
Sebastian Giovinco sends a free-kick from 25 yards out wide of Weidenfeller’s goal.
Arturo Vidal is temporarily off the pitch, receiving treatment. Sven Bender caught him with a firm challenge that went unpunished.
Marco Reus does well to get by his man on the right, before bending a cross towards Lewandowski but he can’t get his header on target.
Reus has an opportunity to lumop the ball into the box from a free-kick out wide. He sends it into the six-yard box, and Vidal heads it over his own bar. From the corner, Lewandowski powers a header towards goal that skims the crossbar.
Kwadwo Asamoah and Fabio Quagliarella exchange passes as they stride towards the Dortmund back four, but Asamoah drags a shot wide after creating some space.

Asamoah taking every opportunity to strike the ball towards goal, but he’s off-target again.
Marco Reus wins the ball from Claudio Marchisio in the centre-circle and heads at pace down field, until he’s held back by a shirt-pull from the Juventus man, who’s rightly cautioned.

2-1 DORTMUND! It looked like it went all the way through, but the replays show that Julian Schieber gets a toe to the ball in between Isla and Buffon as both go for the ball, deflecting it over the ‘keeper’s leg to put the home side 3-2 up on aggregate.
Juventus make their third change³: Simone Pepe is on for Asamoah (7.4).
