Grayson Surman has this morning issued a press statement denying any interest in the Manchester City vacancy after being linked to the job following Robert Mancini’s sacking yesterday.
“I can categorically deny any reports that I’m set to leave Signal Iduna Park for the Manchester City job. We are on the eve of the biggest match of the season, and I remain fully committed to the task of beating Barcelona on Saturday.
“The entire squad is focused on the game and our preparation for it, and baseless speculation such as this has no place in and around the camp. Come Sunday, we either have three trophies to defend or one title that evaded us and we’ll go again at it.”
