Daily RTFM Diary: Thursday 29th May 2014

THURSDAY 29 MAY 2014: Toronto FC have won the Amway Canadian Championship after a 1-0 home win in the Final Second Leg saw them beat Vancouver Whitecaps on the away goals rule after the tie finished 2-2 on aggregate.

Kader Keita’s 19th minute header was enough to seal victory at BMO Field, a week after defeat at  BC Place. It’s their fourth success in the seven-year history of the Voyageurs Cup, and their first since three in a row between 2009-11. TFC will represent Canada in the 2015 CONCACAF Champions League.

Ten Dortmund players have been selected for international duty next week. Robert Lewandowski and Jakub Blaszczykowski will represent Poland in their friendlies in Iran (04 June) and Latvia (06), while Neven Subotic is in the Serbian squad for their friendlies in Uruguay (04) and Finland (06).

Viktor Fischer will win his fourth cap for the Danish senior side after being called-up for their friendly against Ukraine on 06 June.
