World Cup: Roundup and Suspensions


FIFA have confirmed the list of players suspended for the third matchday of the Group Stage in Brazil. Ten players will be ineligible for their country’s final group match. Two of those are one match bans for being sent-off (both for two cautions) on matchday two:

    • BRAZIL: Ganso
    • ENGLAND: Jack Wilshere

Eight players have received an automatic one match ban after being cautioned twice, one in each of their respective two group matches:

    • ALGERIA: Hassan Yebda
    • AUSTRALIA: Tim Cahill
    • BRAZIl: Daniel Alves
    • GHANA: Kwadwo Asamoah
    • JAPAN: Makoo Hasebe
    • PORTUGAL: João Moutinho
    • UNITED STATES: Michael Bradley
    • SENEGAL: Mohamed Diamé
