Borussia Dortmund believe they are close to agreeing a deal with Bayer Leverkusen for the services of German international winger André Schürrle, as part of a double transfer following yesterday’s Lars Bender deal being approved by Bayer.
Leverkusen had a £4m offer for BVB’s transfer-listed goalkeeper Mitchell Langerak approved by the Dortmund management, but sources are reporting that Dortmund are willing to add an extra £12m to the deal to secure Schürrle’s services.
To complicate matters further, Daniel Ginczek is allegedly involved in a separate transfer between the two clubs.
Schürrle scored Germany’s third goal against Argentina in their 3-1 win at the FIFA World Cup on Tuesday. BVB representatives are in Brazil to discuss terms with both players.
