Dortmund players had a hand in both of Germany’s goals in their 2-0 friendly win over Colombia in Hamburg tonight. Mario Götze’s mazy run towards goal brought the opener midway through the first-half when keeper David Ospina spilled the ball over the line.
André Schürrle provided the through-ball for Ilkay Gündogan to wrap the game up late on, with the former-BVB midfielder slotting home to double the lead inside the final quarter. Marcel Schmelzer, Mats Hummels, and Lars Bender all started, with Sven Bender and Marco Reus coming on during the second-half.
Viktor Fischer set-up Denmark’s opening goal inside ninety seconds as Nicklas Bendtner put them in front in Slovakia, in a match that Denmark had to come from behind to win 3-2.
Elsewhere, Neven Subotic kept a clean sheet at the back for Serbia in their goalless draw with Egypt, Ivan Perisic impressed for Croatia in their 3-1 win over Argentina, Stevan Jovetic and Robert Lewandowski played for Macedonia and Poland in their respective wins over Andorra and Greece, while Heinz Lindner came on late-on for Austria in their 0-0 with Peru.
