BREAKING NEWS: Klopp Fired by City

After less than six months in charge at the Etihad Stadium, Jürgen Klopp has been dismissed by the Manchester City management following their draw at Everton which sees them stay sixth in the league, a full ten points behind leaders and rivals United.

City had put together a great run of five consecutive wins in the autumn, but a poor November has seen the axe swing, with defeat at home by Wigan Athletic and at Newcastle before three without a win made the board feel a change of direction was needed.

Klopp joined the club at the beginning of June, after being dismissed by Liverpool in March after a loss at Chelsea condemned them to miss out on top-tier European football. Klopp left Dortmund for Anfield in the summer of 2013, replaced by Gray Surman who went on to lift four trophies inside 14 months.
