Paris Saint-Germain were the biggest winners tonight as the UEFA Champions League Group Stage came to its conclusion. They went to Lisbon to play Sporting Clube in a winner-takes-all showdown to finish behind Manchester United in Group F. Javier Pastore put PSG in front inside fifteen minutes, before a Zlatan Ibrahimovic brace either side of the break sealed qualification.
In Group E, Twente were the only other side to earn their place in the last sixteen tonight, with a 2-1 home win over Young Boys BSC ensuring they beat Olympiakos to second spot. Yannick N’Djeng and Leeroy Fer scored for the hosts to put them through.
The draw for the First Knockout Round will be made on Friday 19 December.
