Daily Dortmund Diary: Friday 09 January

DAILY DIARY, Friday 09 January 2015:

Youth player Ogün Gümüstas has moved to 2.Bundesliga side Energie Cottbus on loan for the remainder of the season. The 18 year-old striker has hit seven goals for BVB U19s in their Group 3 campaign this season, and everyone involved in agreeing the deal is hopeful he can get some first team football at the side pushing for promotion to the top flight.

Pablo Correa has left Montpellier after just twelve months in charge, taking the vacant managerial position at Lille. Montpellier sit 12th in Ligue 1, while Lille are riding high in fourth place behind the big three of PSG, Marseille and Monaco. Correa replaces Rudi Garcia who left  for Monaco last month.

Reports coming from Belgium are that the RSC Anderlecht board are disappointed in recent comments from manager John van den Brom who allegedly expressed an interest in the Montpellier vacancy. This has raised eyebrows at Borussia Dortmund, whose manager Gray Surman is known to be very fond of the Brussels club, and has signed three players from the side in his tenure at BVB.

Coincidentally, Anderlecht and Dortmund meet in the Europa League next month.
