Transfer Window Opens With £14m Deal

Swansea City have made the first big deal of summer 2015 as the transfer window opens across Europe, signing Korean international striker Son Heung-Min from Hamburg for an initial £12.5m, a fee that could rise to £14.25m. The 22 year-old was named Asian Footballer of the Year in 2014, and scored nine times in Bundesliga last season.

Other significant deals going through today have included the £6m move of Emil Larsen from West Ham United to Everton, two seasons after leaving his native Denmark for £1.6m in 2013; Nemanja Tomic has joined Vitesse from Partizan for £4m; and Aston Villa have signed Sparta Prague’s Colombian midfielder Carlos Sánchez for £3m.
